We build software and infrastructure that keep people in control of how AI systems use their data, credentials, and computing.

In ancient Greece a proxenos was a citizen of one city who hosted and vouched for travelers from another: a trusted intermediary who belonged to neither side. We build software that plays that role.

What we work on

• Security for AI systems: software that limits what AI tools can reach and records what they do.
• Local-first developer tools: software that runs on hardware you own and works with the models you choose.
• Private networking: encrypted connections between your own devices, with keys that stay in your hands.

Our first products are in development and are not yet generally available.

A public benefit corporation

Proxenos Systems PBC is a Delaware public benefit corporation. Its charter commits it to advance the privacy, autonomy, and security of individuals and organizations that use artificial intelligence systems, and to promote the efficient use of computational and energy resources, by developing software and infrastructure that enable people to control how their data, credentials, and computing are used.
